Caniwi Capital’s investment philosophy typically looks for business that fit the following criteria:

• New Zealand based
• Well established and a history of sustainable earnings
• Have solid growth potential
• Require a near term succession or capital re-organisation solution (such as a majority shareholder exiting)
• All industry groups considered

When considering investments Caniwi Capital will look to:

• Acquire minority positions with influence or controlling interests where Caniwi’s strategic and capital structuring skills can be best utilised.
• Be a long term holder of investments with a goal to drive the business to maximise growth opportunities to increase return on equity. This differs from other Private Equity firms who look for short term exits.
• Develop close working relationships with management and bring a large network of business expertise to help businesses reach their potential.
