Michael Stanley is a Director of Caniwi Capital Partners Limited and Advisory Board member to the Corporate Finance Advisory unit. Michael retired as a New Zealand partner of Ernst & Young in 2009 after 30 years with the firm.
Michael’s career with Ernst & Young as a Tax Advisory partner also included spells as Board member & Chairman , National Tax Practice leader, member of Ernst & Young’s Global tax practice committee and a strategic regional management posting for Thailand / Greater China / Far East Area.
Michael has overseas professional work experience in the United Kingdom, Middle East and Far East.
Michael holds a Master of Commerce (Honours) degree in Accounting from Canterbury University. He is a member of NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants and NZ Institute of Directors. He is also a past Board member and President of the American Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand . Michael currently holds advisory / board roles with a number of mainly SMEs.
