Caniwi Capital’s Corporate Finance Advisory unit was formed in 2009 and is led by Troy Bowker and Simon Treacy . More recently in 2011 they were joined by James Gould. Mark Withy is also available to provide valuable input into specific assignments if additional resources are required.
Troy, Simon and James each have backgrounds in European and North American leveraged finance, asset and structured financing for large asset acquisitions and financing for institutional clients. Their expertise is in identification of acquisition and disposal opportunities, leading negotiations, structuring debt and equity and execution of the entire transaction. Mark’s background is in hedge fund and private equity management and is therefore able to bring a different perspective to assignments.
The focus at Caniwi Capital is on delivering the expertise of the principals to clients in a value added and efficient manner. The New Zealand presence means that we are perfectly placed to assist large offshore institutions enter or exit a New Zealand investment.
Caniwi is also focussed on arranging debt and equity for medium size New Zealand companies and where appropriate we will work closely with the Property Fund and the Private Equity Fund.
