Caniwi Capital assesses each investment opportunity based on pre tax returns on equity with an emphasis on being able to generate long term repeatable earnings. Caniwi Capital is a cash flow driven investor and will generally only invest in an opportunity if there is an existing strong cash flow business with a high degree of confidence that those cash flows will continue into the foreseeable future. This is generated through contracted lease rentals in the case of property or solid dependable business earnings in the case of private equity. In the case of investments out of the private equity fund, there needs to be a good match between the views of management of the entities requiring capital and the views of the directors and executive team at Caniwi Capital. Caniwi Capital recognises that management and employees of companies requiring capital are an important part of the value proposition of any given investment.
